In a step toward crowning the efforts put forth to improve academic process, the Media Department ranked third among the university’s departments due to meeting the requirements of quality and accreditation. This came within the series of continuous assessments, carried out by the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, of the work and files on quality for the different departments, in line with the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA). In this regard, Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, extended thanks and gratitude to Dr. Adnan bin Nouri Al-Maghamisi, Dean of the College of Social Sciences at UQU, and the department's work team for the efforts exerted to win this achievement.
On his part, the Head of the Media Department, Dr. Salim Urijah, stated that such an achievement comes as no surprise for the Media Department. He added, "We are all proud of this achievement which is a fruit of the exceptional efforts exerted by all the affiliates of the department, particularly the quality committee in the both sections." He then wished more achievements for the department under the noble attention provided to it from the college deanship and vice deans.
It should be noted here that the Media Department won international academic accreditation for the year 2015 A.C., corresponding to 1436 A.H., from the American Accreditation Commission.
