The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies at Umm Al-Qura University launched an initiative entitled: ‘Those who are most beneficial to the people’. The initiative aims to offer research and skill benefits to postgraduate students and the general community of researchers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, harnessing the experience and expertise of the faculty members concerned with the field of scientific research and the preparation and writing of scientific theses and treatises. The initiative covers 22 fields and subjects, and aims to edify the students and researchers on the programs and applications that have automated many elements of the research process.
The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies allocated a special webpage on its website for the initiative, where the deanship will receive the contributions of the faculty members of the university from Sunday, 10 Ramadan, 1441 A.H, to 20 Dhul-Hijjah, 1441 A.H.
On his part, His Excellency the Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Sulaiman bin Ahmad Al-Saeed, explained that this initiative will contribute to improving the research performance of the postgraduate students and to improving the research outputs of the university, Allah willing, toward which the university’s Vice Presidency of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research extends its utmost care and attention. He added that launching the initiative at this time has another dimension that is in line with the volunteering momentum the university is witnessing in the current period; the initiative achieves voluntary communication, transferring knowledge and creating an additional field to distance learning as well as benefiting from the experiences of others.
This initiative aims to achieve the goals of postgraduate studies in facilitating ways to prepare specialized scientific and professional competencies, qualifying them and encourage them to keep abreast of the rapid progress of science and technology.
