The College of Pharmacy has participated in the 4th FUE International Conference of Pharmaceutical Sciences held by Future University in Egypt, from January 31st to February 2nd, with two research papers, where the College displayed two posters:
The First Papers in entitled:
(Six sigma: An approach to improve student satisfaction)
Under the theme of ensuring Higher Education Quality, presented by Dr. Jihan Balatah.
The paper deals with the application of Six Sigma to improve performance in the College, and measure students’ satisfaction with their educational experience in the College. This paper is the first of its kind at Umm Al-Qura University, as it enhances the application of the state-of-the-art quality assurance systems in higher education to boost performance.
The Second Papers in entitled:
(Synthesis of novel pyrazolo [3,4-bipyridine derivatives as anti-inflammatory agents)
under the theme of drug development, discovery and analysis, presented by Dr. Nashwa Ahmed Mansour.
The paper deals with combining pyrazolopyridine derivatives, which have proved effective use as anti-inflammatory compared to diclofenac-sodium, with low side effects on the stomach.
The College of Pharmacy participates in the conference as part of its various activities in different academic and research fields. This participation culminates the support given by President of Umm Al Qura University Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas to the College and all of its activities.
