Online Services of the Deanship of Library Affairs
In line with the preventive precautionary measures taken by the state at all levels (may Allah strengthen it) to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19,and upon the directives of His Excellency the UQU Presidentand his keenness to limit the spread of the epidemic,the Deanship of Library Affairs is pleased to harness all the electronic capabilities it has to serve all the university employeeswithout them having to come to the library.The deanship provides the following electronic services:
First: The "Dorar" Knowledge Platform
The platform contains the university's production of scientific theses,manuscripts,and some proceedings of conferences and seminars that were held at the university.Scientific journals of Umm Al-Qura University will also be added
Second: Electronic Information Sources Service
This service provides databases (of scientific articles and research publications) in addition to full-text e-bookscovering various scientific fields of the colleges and research institutes in Umm Al-Qura University. This service is accessed by logging into the university website with the university employees' account and then accessing the online services from the main page of Umm Al-Qura University.
Third: Library Catalogue Service
The catalogue enables students and researchers to search for the library holdings of Arabic and foreign books.Through the catalogue, you can learn about available books and share with others the available titles to exchange research-related opinions. It requires logging in to the university website with a university employee's account.

Adjusts the website for colorblind users

Reduces distractions and improve focus
This mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
Blindness Mode
Allows using the site with your screen-reader
This mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
