The Dean of the Colleges of Engineering and Computers in Al-Leith, Dr. Iskandar bin Muhammad Hawsawi, checked on the progress of the remote work via the Masar e-platform, Zoom meetings software, and the direct channels and short messages via the technical platforms. He referred to the switch to remote work as a qualitative leap in the modern world of digitization, creating new work models which raise the efficiency of performance and operational tools, reduce costs, and achieve competitive excellence.
Dr. Iskandar described the move as being a significant step in technical dealings and the digital transformation toward a smart e-government. He added that considerable national efforts have been exerted to improve the quality of services based on digital transformation, aiming to ensure the comfort of the citizen and resident and to provide support and consultation. He then expressed his appreciation for the directives of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, and the boundless support he provides for the activities, programs and outputs of the college.
Wrapping up his speech, he supplicated Allah (the Glorified and Exalted) to protect our dear country, its leaders and people against every evil, and to perpetuate development, prosperity and stability on our country under the leadership of His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince (may Allah protect them).
