The Dean of the Colleges of Engineering and Computers in Al-Leith, Dr. Iskandar bin Muhammad Hawsawi, in his name and on behalf of the affiliates of the two colleges, appreciated the circular and directives of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, which stipulated the activation of the remote working system for the administrative staff of the university, for them to carry out their work via the different platforms of the university.

Dr. Hawsawi stressed that the circular of the UQU President came to ensure the safety of the university affiliates, in line with the preventive and precautionary procedures adopted by the state at all levels to curb the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). He pointed out that the college, from today, Sunday, 20 Rajab 1441 A.H., started activating the remote working system using the Masar platform provided by the university. This is in addition to the Zoom meetings software and WhatsApp SMS, besides the digital transactions program and e-mails related to the Masar platform.

He also expressed his appreciation for the support and attention provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the safety of the citizens and residents in the country, through the precautionary, preventive and educational programs and decisions as well as the diverse health services and the adopted decisions with regard to precautionary and heath aspects. He said these decisions reflect the ability to understand the situation, respond to the crisis properly, and the precisely adherence to the tips of the health authorities to maintain the safety of the citizens and residents in the Saudi Kingdom. He also appreciated the efforts exerted by the relevant authorities in following up the new updates of the health status in the kingdom. Wrapping up his speech, he supplicated Allah (the Glorified and Exalted) to protect our dear country, its leaders and people against every evil, wishing safety and health for everyone.
