The College of Engineering at Al-Leith, represented by the Department of Electronics and Communication, organized a course entitled: "The Manufacturing of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)", which was presented by Dr. Ashraf Khalifah and Eng. Abdullah Al-Maliki in the Engineering Manufacturing Workshop at the college's headquarters. The course mainly aimed at developing and refining the experience of students. A Printed Circuit Board, commonly abbreviated as PCB, is a flat board that supports and electrically connects electronic components using conductive tracks. These tracks are etched from copper sheets laminated onto a nonconductive substrate. Printed Circuit Boards are the basis for electronic circuits. They are used in all commercial electronic products. Without printed circuit boards, it would not have been possible to manufacture electronic devices or produce practical electronic circuits.
The course was attended by a large number of students from the Colleges of Engineering and Computers. During the course, the students also learned about scientific and practical experiments, and participated in open discussion sessions to develop their role and skills by building and manufacturing electronic circuits, which focused on the nature of manufacturing using modern devices, as part of the practical workshop.
