The College of Engineering, represented by the Vice Deanship for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research (female section), held a meeting entitled: ‘Makkah in the Eyes of Its Historians from Al-Fuhoud Family’.
The meeting was presented by Ms. Lamia Ahmad Shafei on Sunday, 13 Rajab, 1441 A.H., at the college library. During the meeting, Ms. Shafei talked about Al-Fuhoud family, which inhabited Makkah and has a long history in the region. She then mentioned the religious status of this family, its historians and authors, the good qualities they had, such as their good manners and amiable temperament, in addition to their social characteristics, including the common practice of intermarrying among the families in the area.
The meeting was attended by a number of faculty members, who expressed their admiration and approval of the interesting talk.
