In the presence and supervision of His Excellency Dr. Alawi bin Muhammad Bamahdi, Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, the Voluntary Work Club organized a lecture entitled, 'Importance of Humanities and Social Subjects to the Advancement of Engineering and Health'. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Lutfi Al-Dabaish from the Department of Arabic Language in Al-Qunfudhah University College. This took place on Monday, 8 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H.
The lecture covered several themes, the most important of which were the following:
- The importance of work ethics.
- Languages and learning them.
- Engineer: Builder of the economy.
- Openness to other societies.
- Globalization.
- Personality formation and self-confidence.
- Communication skills with others.
- Time management.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Dean of the College, a number of academic staff from the college and other colleges in Al-Qunfudhah, and a number of the college students.
At the end of the meeting, everyone expressed their pleasure and how they benefited from the valuable information they received. Moreover, the Dean of the College, who had supervised the event, honored Dr. Al-Dabaish, commending both the lecture and the lecturer.
