Under the noble patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamidi, and the supervision of Her Excellency the Vice Dean for Scientific and Administrative Streams (female section) in Al-Shishah, Dr. Haifa bint Husain Hijazi, the Vice Deanship of the Joint First Year (female section) in Al-Shishah launched the 'One Thousand Trees' initiative, in conjunction with National Tree Week.

The female affiliates of the campus and the students distributed Kalanchoe seedlings and explained the how to care for them, in the light of the commands of our great religion, as plants have a great status in Islam because they bring benefit to all creatures living on the planet. The activity lasted for two weeks. Female students planted small seedlings in the external courtyards, and cared for them.
