The UQU College of Public Health and Health Informatics, represented by the Department of Environmental Health, participated with the General Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah, represented by the Department of Vector Control and Common Diseases, in a one-day workshop at Al-Joud Hotel in Makkah on Wednesday, 14 Rabi` Al-Thani 1441 A.H., corresponding to 11 December 2019 A.C.
The workshop included a scientific lecture on intestinal parasitic diseases, focusing on how the parasite is transmitted, its life cycle, symptoms and diseases it causes, as well as the methods of diagnosis and prevention.
The lectures were presented for six hours by the academic staff member in the college, Mr. Majdi Al-Sadiq Adam Haroun. It is to be noted that the course is approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
The course was held within the framework of community service, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health in the field of training.
