The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, represented by the UQU Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, held a meeting entitled: "Quality and Scientific Research", on Wednesday, 7 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., at the library of the College of Shari`ah. The meeting, which was held for the faculty members and postgraduate students, was moderated by Her Excellency Dr. Haila bint Saad Al-Sulaimi and included a speech delivered by Her Excellency Prof. Ibtisam bint Bal-Qasim Al-Qarni.

The meeting started with praising and extolling Allah (Exalted and Glorified be He), followed by a speech of Her Excellency Prof. Ibtisam Al-Qarni edifying the students on the concept of quality and scientific research, using a simple explanation of the topic.

Afterward, the themes of the meeting, revolving around quality and scientific research, were delineated and broadly discussed, and examples were provided for each theme. This was followed by inputs and responses to the inquiries raised by the female students by His Excellency Dr. Haila Al-Sulaimi.

The meeting discussed the following themes:

1. The concept of scientific research and quality.
2. The quality standards for scientific research.
3. The quality criteria for selecting the research topic and title.
4. The quality criteria for the research introduction.
5. The quality criteria for selecting the research problem.
6. The quality standards of the research language.

The meeting gained the admiration of the attendees. At the end of the meeting, the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Haila bint Saad Al-Sulaimi, thanked Her Excellency Prof. Ibtisam Al-Qarni for her lauded efforts.

Just as it was opened, the meeting was concluded by praising and extolling Allah (Exalted and Glorified be He).
