The University Medical Center, represented by the Pharmaceutical Care, supervised by the Public Health Unit of the University Medical Center, organized an awareness event about antibiotics under the slogan "Antibiotics: Deal with Them Cautiously" on Tuesday, 6 Rabi` Al-Thani 1441 A.H. The target audience of this event included the employees of the medical field, the students and the affiliates of the University from among the visitors of the University Medical Center, and the whole community.

The event aims to raise the awareness about the risk of antibiotic misuse, in addition to raising the awareness about the causes of infection with bacteria resistance to antibiotics.

An awareness corner with educative boards about the World Antibiotic Awareness Week was prepared. The corner offered also pamphlets of awareness and instructions about antibiotics and the common diseases caused by bacteria and virus infections, in addition to a questionnaire about the level of community awareness about the resistance of antibiotics.
