His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, at his office in Al-Abdiyyah, met with the Supervisor of Publishing and Manuscripts in Abu Dhabi Tourism and Cultural Authority, Dr. Ahmad Al-Handasi, to discuss aspects of mutual cooperation between the Institute of Manuscripts and the Revival of Islamic Heritage on the one hand, and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Cultural Authority on the other. His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, the Dean of the Institute of Manuscripts and the Revival of Islamic Heritage, and His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Al-Amri, the Vice Dean of the Institute for Verification Affairs, attended the meeting.

The meeting tackled the means of establishing a partnership between the Institute of Manuscripts and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Cultural Authority to spread the Islamic heritage, exchange experience in the field of verifying manuscripts in Islamic sciences, the Arabic language, and cultural and historical studies, and make use of each other's efforts to upgrade Islamic manuscripts in different branches and specializations. This meeting aimed at keeping pace with the changes in the international publishing of heritage and cultural through modern means of conveying knowledge.

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University welcomed Dr. Al-Handasi, and praised what the authority offers of support towards the Islamic heritage and the enrichment of historical, cultural and Arabic content. His Excellency also praised its leading role in monitoring and publishing articles in different branches of science, assuring the keenness of Umm Al-Qura University to cooperate with Abu Dhabi Tourism and Cultural Authority in scientific aspects in general, and in verifying and spreading Islamic heritage in particular.
