Seventh Measurement Auditing Team “Yesser” Visits UQU

At the end of the meeting of the UQU High Committee for Electronic Transactions with the Auditing Team of the Seventh Measurement for the Transformation to E-Governmental Transactions “Yesser”, Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi, the UQU Vice-President for Academic Development and Community Service and Head of the UQU High Committee for Electronic Transactions, stressed on the importance of the transformation to e-transactions at the university, which will positively impact the performance of the university. Besides, he highlighted that the transformation process is under the auspices of Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, the UQU President and Head of the UQU High Committee for Electronic Transactions.

The meeting was held on Monday, Rabi’ al-awwal 20, 1438H; corresponding to December 19, 2016, at the office of the Deanship of Academic Development on Al-Aziziyah campus, in the attendance of Dr. Yasser bin Suleiman Shushu, the UQU Vice-President and Member at the High Committee for Electronic Transactions, and a number of members of the committee and the Deanship of Information Technology.

During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed including the responses of the UQU to the Seventh Measurement Form. Following, meetings with some of the members of the Committee of Electronic Transactions and the Department of Administrative Development were held, after which the auditing team took a tour at the departments of the Deanship of Information Technology and the Information Center.

On his part, Dr. Atef bin Mansour Al-Hujili, the Vice-dean of Information Technology for Electronic Transactions and Coordinator of the UQU High Committee for Electronic Transactions, declared that the auditing team has developed a set of visuals orally, and presented them in previous meetings, and later on they were initially elaborated upon the human, administrative and infrastructure factors, to set the measurement and the standards of the electronic transactions. He also stated, “The auditing team will issue an official report in this regard, and the university will learn from it to prepare for the eighth measurement in the next year.”

It is worth mentioning that the seventh measurement phase comes as part of the transformative process of some government entities that have fulfilled the requirements of the second phase of measurement phases “Availability Phase”, and now it will start the “Distinction and Improvement Phase”.  The measurement aims at ensuring the efficient preparation and institutional organization for the management of the transformation to e-government transactions, promoting the culture of the service, building the capacity of the human resources, establishing information security, among other objectives sought by the UQU.
