On the occasion of the breast cancer international month, the Vice Deanship of University Studies for Female Students in Rea Zhakhir held an event under the slogan, "Because you are important to us... Have a checkup to reassure us", under the patronage of Prof. Salwa bint Muhammad Al-Mehmadi, the Vice Dean of University Studies for Female Students at the headquarters of Rea Zhakhir, and in the presence of the Vice Dean of the Community College, Dr. Mona Ali Al-Yamani, the Supervisor of the departments of Arabic Language, Dr. Basma Ibrahim Malibari, the Vice Dean of the College of Business Administration, Dr. Hawazin Abdul-Hafiz Al-Zubaidi, the heads of the departments, the academic staff, the female administrators, and a number of the female students.

The campaign was inaugurated by the students' queue representing the slogan of breast cancer, and releasing helium balloons. Next, these students visited the corners organized by the colleges' students. The campaign included the corners of healthy nutrition and sports, and offered some publications, brochures and pamphlets that provide advice and awareness to everybody.

The campaign also included an awareness meeting held with Dr. Arwa bint Fadil Filemban, Assistant Professor at the Department of Pathology in the College of Medicine, during which she talked about the symptoms and causes of the disease, how to make a self-examination, and how to protect oneself against it. Moreover, another meeting was held with Dr. Walaa bint Essam Al-Hassani, Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Nutrition in the College of Applied Medical Sciences, during which she talked about healthy nutrition for cancer patients, and the food that should be eaten to result in: "Protection from it, Allah willing".

At the end, the female participants in the campaign were honored, and certificates of recognition and appreciation were conferred upon them.
