Umm Al-Qura University participated in Algiers International Book Fair in its twenty-fourth session, which lasted till the ninth of this November at the pavilion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The delegate was headed by the Dean of Library Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Mubarak Al-Lihaibi, and the administrative employees at the Institute of Manuscripts and the Revival of Islamic Heritage, Mr. Nur Al-Din.

The university exhibition was visited by the Saudi Ambassador in Algeria, Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Umairaini, and the Cultural Attaché, Mr. Nasir bin Tamin Al-Buqami. The exhibition covered many intellectual and cognitive products of the university, such as books in different branches of Shari`ah knowledge and Arabic Language, and other publications issued by scientific journals, research centers, and scientific chairs.

The participating delegate praised the care and support of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, to the participation of the university in such international forums that contribute in displaying and publishing the scientific production of the university on the international level. The delegate also commended the Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Resini, for his continuous follow-up of the works of the Exhibitions Permanent Committee.
