The Deanship of Scientific Research, represented by the Vice Deanship for Research Volunteering and Volunteering Research, organized the third qualifying program for the Ghars Voluntary Team within a series of volunteers qualifying and training programs.

The program aimed at developing different research skills for the female affiliates of Umm Al-Qura University: female academic staff members and postgraduate studies students in different fields of specialization, as a targeted category.

Moreover, the program sought to endorse research skills, and develop the knowledge related to different scientific research stages, such as choosing the topic, data gathering, determining problem types, and data analysis, in addition to displaying, discussing, analyzing and explaining the results.

Five consecutive courses with ten training hours were offered by a group of specialized trainers during the training. The program was held at the Deanship of Scientific Research Training Hall, female section, during the period from Tuesday, 9 Safar, 1441 A.H., till Tuesday, 1 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H. A total number of about 168 female trainees attended the courses.

The Dean of Scientific Research, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Shukri Al-Soufi, pointed out that this program falls within the development and training efforts of the Deanship of Scientific Research to qualify volunteers in research fields, from among the academic staff members and the female students of postgraduate studies at the university. This event springs from the care of the deanship for volunteering as a strategic issue that the national vision programs 2030 seek to research, treat and develop through increasing the numbers of volunteers, and qualifying and training them to offer the best voluntary services with high quality and efficiency.

The Dean of Scientific Research praised the support of the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdul-Wahab bin Abdullah Al-Resini, to the activities, programs and initiatives of the deanship. He also commended the support that His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, provides to researchers and research services offered by the Deanship of Scientific Research.
