150 Training Hours and 46 Courses Set up the Foundation of Umm Al-Qura Digital Transformation

Trainees on the summer training program held by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education at Umm Al-Qura University completed 150 training hours and 46 courses in various streams. It produced 17 projects carried out by 25 students in five streams. These projects vary between digital transformation, audio recording and video shooting, static and motion designs, electronic content development, graphical interface programming, and educational design of e-courses.

On Sunday morning, His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, launched the digital library pertaining to the training that was established by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education with the aim of motivating academic staff members and students on e-learning and making use of brief training manuals in the digital library and educational videos pertaining to e-learning (Blackboard).

The digital training library contains a package of e-measures that contribute to building educational content, conducting e-tests, and developing virtual classrooms that permit academic staff members to deliver and record lectures on the electronic site.

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, received the final report on the outcomes of the summer training program of the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, which has been organized for two successive years with the aim of developing the technical and social skills of the program graduates.

His Excellency the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Mutairi, stressed that the deanship seeks to prepare the professional technical environment for the affiliates of the university and apply the recent developments of modern technology to design digital platforms to contribute to the technical transformation of the university.
