The Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods at Umm Al-Qura University celebrated the World Teachers Day in recognition of the teachers' role in building future generations, youths, fathers and mothers. The International Labor Organization and UNESCO designated this day to appreciate teachers, in conjunction with the recommendation concerning the status of teachers in 1966 A.C.
The department of curricula underlined that the significant role of the teacher in the history of nations is too great to be defined, as without an honest teacher who is committed to his profession, no proper education will be founded, no nation will advance, and no people will progress.
