HRH Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Head of the Central Hajj Committee, launched the second round of the Annual Hajj Workshop on the theme "Integrated Planning Formulation for the 1438H Hajj Season."

HRH asserted during his speech at the workshop that the reason for the success of 1437H Hajj season was attributed firstly to the guidance of Allah and secondly to good intentions and advantages' manifestation. He wished that Allah, the Almighty, would bestow guidance and success on the efforts of all as in the exemplary 1437H Hajj season. He also extended thanks and appreciation to all the participants in such success.

In the speech, HRH said, "I don't think it would be exaggerating to start expressing gratitude from the top, i.e. to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, God save him! King Salman is always known for his great attention towards Makkah, Hajj and Umrah."

"During his last year visit to the Grand Mosque in Makkah, King Salman, God save him, stressed that all the needs of such a holy place would be met, God willing," HRH added.

The Governor of Makkah Region also noted that he gave directions to complete the preliminary study of the Holy Sites Development Project. It is worth mentioning that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, God save him, had given orders to accelerate the preparation and presentation of such preliminary study.

In addition to that, Prince Khalid Al Faisal appreciated the efforts exerted by the governmental and non-governmental entities, as well as every male and female participant in the service of the pilgrims. "I would like to deeply express my gratitude towards them; I do cherish their participation in such work."

To demonstrate the factors of 1437H Hajj season success Prince Khalid Al Faisal explained, "Good Intentions were sown; advantages blossomed; Hajj success was reaped." He added, "It cannot be denied that the result of today is based on Allah's guidance in the first place. In addition, such success is due to the bases founded by our predecessors to render us the number-one people in crowd management and organization starting from the era of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) till today." HRH accentuated the necessity of rendering Makkah, the Holy Sites, Jeddah and Ta'if modern Islamic cities with Saudi identity.

To conclude his speech, HRH stressed, "He who cannot contribute to turning such dream into reality is ordered to give up responsibility and make space for everyone that is more eligible for it."

At the end of the event, the Governor of Makkah Region honored the participating entities in Hajj. Afterwards, the workshops started with the participation of 130 experts who represented 45 governmental and non-governmental entities that served pilgrims. The workshops included discussions of the mechanisms and ways of best service provision to the pilgrims, in order to meet the expectations of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his honest Crown Prince. Such expectations aimed at the development of all what could be related to serving pilgrims in a way that guaranteed their safety and comfort from the beginning of their journey of faith until their return to their homelands.

Within the same vein, Dr. Hisham Al-Falih, Adviser of the Governor of Makkah Region and Head of the Preparatory Committee for Hajj, pointed out that, along with whatever items arise on the agenda, the workshop would discuss the services of housing, subsistence, transport, public utilities, reception and grouping. It would also discuss the facilities, whether service or supervisory, provided by the governmental and private sectors. Dr. Al-Falih noted also that the workshop would open new horizons for new developmental ideas and solutions for the Holy Sites, which would be discussed with all the participating entities to reach solutions that cope with KSA Vision and the expected future numbers of pilgrims.
