Dr. Amani Mahbub, assistant professor at the Department of Lab Medicine at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, won Best Poster Award during her participation, as a speaker, at the 14th International Conference for Cancer Research and Treatment, held in Dubai on 21-23 November, 2016; which counts as a new scientific accomplishment for the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and Umm al-Qura University at large.
The research title is:
"Polyphenols act synergistically with doxorubicin and etoposide in leukemia cell lines"
The research tackled new therapeutic methods for treatment of blood cancer (leukemia).
