Description: |
Under auspices of the Deanship of Preparatory Year, and under supervision of Dr. Waheeb bin Dakheel-Allah al-Harbi, Vice Dean of the Preparatory Year, the preparatory year students have organized an exhibition, supervised by the Computer Science Club Coordinator, Ms. Mona Amin. The event was attended by Vice Dean of the College of Computer Science, Dr. Amany al-Shuaibi, as well as work team of the preparatory year.
The event was initiated with a Quranic recitation by Randa. This was followed by a presentation on the uses of computer, and technological updates in the field of health care. After that, a presentation was given about social networking websites (Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc.) It followed that students discussed pros and cons of social media: how they are used to violate privacy, promulgate rumors and constructive ideas. They also touched on the notion of virtual reality, and its implications for their career. A 3D projector was used to display some relevant scenes. The event program came to its close with a presentation on illicit use of computer (hacking), and a video was displayed thereon. Noteworthy, there was vibrant interaction between students and team members. At last, all participants toured through the students' corners and works. |
