Fulfilling the commitments made to employees, the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, on Wednesday, 26 Sha`ban 1440 A.H., honored four of its academic staff members whose term of office in the university ended due to retirement or termination of contract. The four honored academics were: Dr. Muhammad bin Sa`id Al-Thubaiti, Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rida Al-Talhi, Dr. Mustafa Watid, and Mr. Yahia Majdhub.
The ceremony started with a speech from the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Hasan Bukhari. The speech was filled with gratitude and recognition of the valuable efforts these staff exerted to advance the institute. The four academics reciprocated with words of appreciation, expressed in poetry and prose, for the time they spent in the institute. They also thanked the members of the institute for holding this ceremony to honor them. At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency the Dean of the Institute, the vice deans, and the heads of the departments honored the four professors, on behalf of the staff of the institute, as a token of appreciation for their good service and input to the university over the decades they worked there.
