HE the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Eissa, has approved holding the 12th forum for the deans of the postgraduate studies at the Saudi universities under the title “Possible Contributions of Postgraduate Studies at Saudi Universities to Achieve Saudi Vision 2030”. The forum will be held at UQU, on Rabi al-awwal 2, 1438H, at King Faisal hall on Al-Abidiyah campus.
The Dean of Postgraduate Studies at UQU, Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Furaih, denoted that the summit aims at addressing “how could postgraduate studies offer proper support for achieving Vision 2030, through their programs”.
He also mentioned that the deans of the Saudi universities will present and study different ideas and experiences in this regard for the sake of exchanging experiences, learning from them, circulating their best practices, and, eventually, coming up with a unified vision that is capable of enhancing the educational system in the field of postgraduate studies, according to the needs of the era and within the capabilities provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques –May Allah support it- through the instructions of His Excellence the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmad Al-Eissa.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Furaih praised the instructions of the UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, to exert every effort to make this summit successful as befits UQU, especially because the summit tackles a serious topic that aligns with the UQU objective to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030.
Last but not least, Dr. Al-Furaih extended his thanks to the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer bin Hemdan Al-Harbi, for his generous efforts that would develop the scientific research system at the university.
