Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, the Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) president, made a visit to the Institute of Manuscripts and Islamic Heritage Revival. Present in his reception were Dr. Adnan bni Mohammed Alharisi; the Institute’s dean, and Dr. Abdudl-Rahamn Abu Alkhyuor, the Institute’s vice dean.
Still, during his visit, Dr. Bakri had a look on the content of the Institute’s library with books about the Islamic heritage. Then he headed to the Manuscripts Section which houses more than eighty thousand manuscripts. He also familiarized with the action plan meant for developing the Institute’s services, upon his directives aimed at upgrading the scientific services the Institute delivers.
Meanwhile, the Institute’s Dean and its staff expressed their happiness with such a visit, wishing him every success.
