The Mobile Civil Status Unit in the Holy Capital has announced that it will offer its services to UQU female personnel, staff members, and students at the university's campus in Al-Zahir. This will take place over the next two weeks, starting on Sunday 2 Sha`ban 1440 A.H., as part of the "We Come to You" initiative being carried out by the Civil Registration Agency, represented by the Department of Civil Status in Makkah. The initiative is set up with an objective to serve both the government and private sectors in their work places.
The Director of the Public Relations and Information Department at Umm Al-Qura University, Khalid Mursi, stated that this service comes within the framework of constructive cooperation between the university and the Civil Registration Agency. The service is offered as a result of directions from His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, to extend the services provided by the Civil Registration Agency to the staff and affiliates of the university, including both the male and female sections, in order to save effort and time.
He also expressed his thanks to His Excellency the University President for his continuous support in this regard, and for activating community partnerships with all agencies. He also highlighted the role of the Department of Civil Status in the Holy Capital and the services it provides to citizens.
It is also worth noting that the Mobile Civil Status Unit provided its services to the students and staff of the University City in Al-Abdiyyah from 24 to 28 Rajab 1440 A.H.
