Under the patronage of the Dean of the Joint First Year Deanship, His Excellency Dr. Sa`d bin Sa`id Al-Ghamdi, in the presence of the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Waheeb ibn Dakhilullah Al-Harbi, and the Vice Dean for Branches, His Excellency Dr. Rami bin Adel Basha, the Vice Deanship of Joint First Year for Branches organized the annual Major Selection Forum for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. at Al-Leith and Al-Qunfudhah branches for both the male and female sections on Tuesday, 19 Rajab, 1440 A.H.

At the beginning of the event, a visit was paid to Al-Leith branch. The visitors were received by Dr. Amin Belhaj, Supervisor of the Joint First Year Deanship at Al-Leith Branch, as well as members of the academic staff at the branch and the representatives of the colleges involved in the program of the joint first year from the College of Computers and the College of Health Sciences at Al-Leith.

The meeting started with a recitation of the Noble Qur'an, and then His Excellency the Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Sa`d bin Sa`id Al-Ghamdi, spoke about the majors available to the students at Al-Leith branch. His Excellency the Dean presented his advice to the students based on his long experience in university work, which he gained during his studies in Saudi Arabia and abroad. Following this, the Vice Dean of the Joint First Year for Branches, His Excellency Dr. Rami bin Adel Basha, spoke about the majors and streams available to the students at Al-Leith branch. At the end of the event, an open meeting was held to answer students' questions.

At Al-Qunfudhah branch, the attendees were received by the Dean of the College of Medicine in Al-Qunfudhah, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Sa`ati, the Vice Dean of the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah for Educational Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Khadran Al-Zahrani, the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering, His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Baghdadi, the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, His Excellency Dr. Mu`adh Najib, the Vice Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Mahdi Saqur, the Supervisor of the Joint First Year Deanship at Al-Qunfudhah Branch, Dr. Bilal bin Radi Al-Zoubi, and the academic staff members at the branch.

The meeting started with a recitation of the Noble Qur'an, then the attendees spoke about the majors available to the students at Al-Qunfudhah branch and the requirements of each major, as well as the basic skills required for each student to excel in their study of those majors. At the end of the meeting, the attendees answered the students' questions.
