The Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, His Eminence Dr. Hasan Bukhari, stated that in implementation of the royal decree, the institute's team set up a second course for the Muslims of Nigeria at Ahmadu Bello University in Zarya, Kano State. The event took place in coordination with the Saudi Embassy in Nigeria from 23- 27 Rajab 1440 A.H., corresponding to 30 March - 3 April 2019.
On Friday 22 Rajab, the program included the participation of three members of the delegation in giving the Friday sermons and leading the prayers in three mosques in Zaria: Dr. Hasan Bukhari at the Great Mosque of the University; Dr. Abdul-Mun`im Asrar at the Al-Nour Mosque; and Dr. Maymon Al-Sulami at the Samaru Mosque. This participation was organized in coordination with the religious attaché at the Saudi Embassy and the Organizing Committee at Ahmadu Bello University.
The institute's team also visited the Center for Islamic Legal Studies at Ahmadu Bello University to meet with the Director of the Center, the Dean of the College of Shari`ah, Prof. Ahmad Uthman, and the faculty members of the center, including some graduates of Umm Al-Qura University and the Islamic University, to maintain communication and learn about the aspects of cooperation between the two universities.
