The Saudi Scholarly Society for the Principles of Jurisprudence and Shari`ah Objectives (Osol), which is affiliated to the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, in collaboration with the Department of Da`wah and Islamic Culture (Female Section), organized a scientific course for female students entitled, "Achieving the Desired Objectives with Osol Infographic Design". The course was presented by the assistant professor in the Department of Da`wah and Islamic Culture (Female Section), Dr. Alaa Abdul-Rahman Kinkar, in the period from 10 to 17 Rajab, 1440 A.H., at Al-Jafali Hall (3). She explained the themes of the course, which included: definition of infographics, concept of infographics, characteristics and how to use infographics in education, and steps in designing an infographic to achieve the maximum desired benefits.
The general purpose of the activity is to provide the female trainees with the basics, skills, and use of infographic design, and its application on the principles of jurisprudence. The course was attended by a group of female graduate students and a group of female undergraduates, due to the importance of the topics tackled in the course. The attendants' enquiries were duly answered.
At the end of the course, the representative of the society, Dr. Huwaida Al-Lihaibi, thanked Dr. Alaa Kinkar for the efforts she exerted in this course.
