The Club of Preparatory Year for Scientific and Administrative Tracks in collaboration with the Deanship of Students Affairs and under the Supervision of the Vice-Dean of Preparatory Year for Scientific and Administrative Tracks, Prof. Aliaa bint Abdullah Al-Jindi has activated the World Breast Cancer Day under the theme:"You are the Most Precious". Among the guests of the event were Prof. Nahid Al-Nagar from the College of Nursing and the Head of the Radiology Department at Al-Nour Hospital Dr. Bothaina Mohamed Abdulshakour.
At the commencement of the vent, pre-questionnaires were distributed to measure extent of female students knowledge about breast cancer. After collecting the questionnaires, an awareness lecture on breast cancer was presented. The lecture covered different aspects of the disease including; introducing the disease, its symptoms, types, signs of onset, how to detect the disease and its causes.
The lecture also focused on the three methods of self-screening and their importance in early detecting the disease and what should females learn and apply on themselves, besides the prevention methods.
After that, the female students were directed to conduct clinical examination at the medical clinic to ensure their safety under the supervision of the Dr. Bothiana Mohamed Abdulshakour. Then, a post questionnaire was distributed to make sure that female students' health awareness regarding breast cancer has increased.
At the conclusion of the event, the inquiries of the female students were settled.
It's noteworthy, the campaign logo was designed, prepared and distributed in different shapes as an initiative by the female students of the Club of Preparatory Year for Scientific and Administrative Tracks
