The Department of Mass Communication at the College of Social Sciences witnesses semi-weekly scientific and cultural presentations of the academic staff members under the patronage and direction of His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Adnan Al-Maghamisi Al-Harbi, and the Head of the Department, Dr. Salim bin Ali Urijah.

On Tuesday, 21 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., a lecture entitled, "Platforms of Social Communication and Enhancement of Intellectual Security", was delivered by His Excellency Dr. Halil Muhaisin Al-Umairi, at the college theater 6 C. During the lecture, His Excellency touched on intellectual security and its relation to the platforms of social communication, and the psychological and technical advantages that promote it. He then pointed out some of the measures that limit the negative impacts of social networking platforms on intellectual security.

All participants interacted with a series of contributions, starting with the Dean of the College, the Head of the Department, and a number of academic staff members and students, which enriched the subject and achieved the overall objective of these activities.
