The University Medical Center has the pleasure to announce its participation with the Health Affairs in the Sacred City by carrying out a limited campaign for polio vaccination, the second dose; (Two Drops in the Mouth...Protect Your Child Against Polio and the Nightmare of an Everlasting Handicap). The campaign will begin on Sunday, 5 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 10 February, 2019 A.C., and will last for five days. The University Medical Center will vaccinate its visitors from the targeted children who are below 5 years old. This campaign will last during the daily working hours. In addition, field teams from the Health Affairs of the Sacred City will visit living quarters, from house to house, to guarantee the vaccination of the targeted segment of the society.
Moreover, this campaign comes in the frame of permanent cooperation and coordination between the University Medical Center and the Directorate of Health Affairs at Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and the role of the University Medical Center in following preventive measures by providing the best educative means for the students and the affiliates of the university, in particular, and the whole community, in general. This can be achieved through participation in campaigns and activities to contribute in increasing health awareness about common diseases.
