The Head of the Department of Psychology, Dr. Salim bin Muhammad Abdullah Al-Mufrigi, participated in the Digital Citizenship Forum with a working paper entitled "Digital Intellectual Security." Dr. Al-Mufrigi took part in the first discussion session organized by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education. The forum took place on Thursday 18 Jumada Al-Awwal 1440 A.H. under the theme of cybersecurity and electronic protection for citizen and community security.
Dr. Al-Mufrigi tackled the issue of digital intellectual security, covering several important points. He pointed out that digital intellectual security is concerned with protecting members of society from the intellectual impurities produced by the information revolution, because intellectual deviation is the cause of other deviations, such as religious and behavioral deviation.
In the presentation of the working paper, Dr. Al-Mufrigi focused on the important societal category of the youth, # as they are the most vulnerable to intellectual deviations due to their mental immaturity and lack of control, resulting in the emergence of outcomes affecting the whole community.
