The Secretariat of the Academic Council is pleased to announce to the academic staff the approval of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University of the academic staff promotions included in the tenth session of the Academic Council for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The Secretariat of the Academic Council wishes them much success and progress in the field of scientific research, and supplicates Allah (Exalted and Glorified be He) to encompass them with His care and support for them to achieve their ambitions and accomplish their goals.

- Promotion of Dr. Muhammad bin Matar Samir Al-Sahli, Associate Professor in the Islamic Studies Department at the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, to Professor.
- Promotion of Dr. Niveen bint Hamzah Sharaf Al-Barakati, Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods at the College of Education, to Professor.
- Promotion of Dr. Muna bint Hameed Rumiazan Al-Sibai`i, Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods at the College of Education, to Professor.
- Promotion of Dr. Maryam bint Bunyan Bani Al-Harbi, Associate Professor in the Department of Aqidah at the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion, to Professor.
- Promotion of Dr. Ma`tuqah bint Muhammad Hassan Al-Hassani, Assistant Professor in the Department of the Holy Book and the Traditions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), at the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion, to Associate Professor.
- Promotion of Dr. Abdul-Hamid bin Hasan Abdul-Hamid Talafha, Assistant Professor at the Department of Special Education, to Associate Professor.
- Promotion of Dr. Nawal bint Ahmad Al-Badawi Sayyid Abu Al-Ila, Assistant Professor at the Department of Special Education, to Associate Professor.
