The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences has organized an event titled “Stroke Awareness” on Thursday, 14/02/1437. The event was supported by the University President, Dr. Bakry bin Maatouq Assas, and supervised by the Faculty Dean, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Ashi, and the academic supervision for the female students division of the Faculty was carried out by Dr. Haifaa Hejazy and Dr. Hayam Mahmoud, and was coordinated by third year students of the Physiotherapy Department. Female students provided health and nutrition instructions to the rest of students through distribution of brochures, posters, pamphlets and playing awareness videos and playing the physiotherapist role.
The event, that was highly praised by students and staff, aimed at activating Umm Al-Qura University role, represented by the activities of the students club, in spreading health awareness among students. The event left a very positive effect among students of different departments of the faculty.
