On Monday, Muharram 9, 1438H, the Deanship for Preparatory Year – Medical Studies (Girls Section) - held an awareness raising seminar under the title “Psychological Health” on the International Day for Psychological Health; celebrated on an annual basis by the World Health Organization (WHO) on the 10th of October.
The seminar was moderated by the Associate Professor in the Department of Societal Health and Health Care at the College of Nursing, Dr. Manal Hassan Aboulmajd, who contributed to raising the awareness of the students and faculty members on the cause.
Noteworthy, tackling psychological health issues from religious and legal perspectives was one of the main goals of the seminar, along with introducing the harmful effects of stress, its relationship with other diseases, and how to reduce psychiatric disorders caused by social conditions and work problems.
The seminar was attended by a number of students and faculty members, who participated in the discussion and presented their inquiries and opinions about many psychological issues.
