The Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods offers its sincere thanks and appreciation to his Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Ali bin Muslih Al-Matrafi, for his attendance and patronage of the International Volunteer Day ceremony on Wednesday, 5 December, 2018 A.C. This ceremony reflects the department's desire to keep pace with Saudi Vision 2030.
Thanks are also offered to his Excellency the Vice-Dean of the College, Dr. Murdi bin Ghurmullah Al-Zahrani, the Vice-Deans of the College, Heads of Departments, academic staff, and postgraduate students for their attendance, participation, and support.
The ceremony included a review of students' experiences in volunteering, honoring the volunteers involved in the volunteering initiative project, and launching the 'Referential Infographic in Curricula and Teaching Methods' initiative. A discussion was held with postgraduate students about their future aspirations of the department and its activities under its new slogan, 'Creativity Partners.'
It is worth mentioning that the department has prioritized the achievement of the volunteering goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by striving to increase the numbers of volunteers to one million. Statistics show that there have been more than 2000 beneficiaries since the beginning of the project, 70 volunteers from among postgraduate students, 82 voluntary initiatives, and more than 300 volunteering hours. This initiative is considered to be the first of its kind among Departments of Curricula and Teaching Methods in Arab universities.
