The Secretariat of the Academic Council is pleased to announce to the academic staff the approval of his Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University of their promotions included in the seventh session of the Academic Council for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The secretariat wish them much success in their scientific research, and supplicate Allah (Exalted and Glorified be He) to encompass them with His care and support to achieve their ambitions and accomplish their goals.
Suitable recommendations for the topics included in the agenda of the aforementioned session were made.

- The promotion of Dr. Muteib Hussain Wusaiwus Al-Gethami, Associate Professor at the History Department, College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, to Professor.
- The promotion of Dr. Naglaa bint Muhammad Noor Abdul-Ghaffar Attar, Assistant Professor at the Department of Arabic Linguistics, Grammar and Morphology, College of Arabic Language and Literature, to Associate Professor.
- The promotion of Dr. Rabab bint Salih Muhammad Jamal, Assistant Professor at the Department of Classical Arabic Rhetoric and Literary Criticism, College of Arabic Language and Literature, to Associate Professor.
