 College of Nursing celebrates with its freshman students

The College of Nursing celebrated the orientation day for sophomores for academic year 1437-1438H, on Wednesday 27/12/1437 at 9:00 a.m., where the program started with the recital of Holy Quran, followed by the speech of the academic supervisor Professor Dr. Sahar Najib, in which she welcomed new students.

After that a video concerning the College of Nursing was displayed and the College members were introduced, each according to her specialty. This was followed by a speech concerning administrative affairs by administrative supervisor Professor Samia Mankabo, after which a short review about UQU College of Nursing including establishment, organizational structure, College departments and number of students and graduates and the various committees was displayed, then a video about the nursing profession and its importance in society was also displayed.

This was accompanied by a show by student Esraa Al-Sherif, 4th year, entitled "my experience at the College of Nursing", followed by responding to student queries through an open discussion to listen to the questions and inquiries of students and respond to them.

 There was also an open meeting between sophomores and some students in various academic years, together with a commemorative gift distribution for each student containing a brochure on the vision, mission and goals, organizational structure of the College, and then a speech by the social worker.

Later, they toured around the College so that the students get to know the place. A number of corners were designed, including an introduction corner to the College's different departments and courses taught each year, and a corner about misconceptions about nursing and correcting them.

Also, the academic supervisor thanked the Organizing Committee of the ceremony and the College management and all its staff, for producing it successfully to the students’ satisfaction. The ceremony ended at noon.
