Department of Chemistry Participates in Rawaa and Ataa Program Events

As part of the events of the Rawaa and Ataa Program organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs for Direction, Guidance, and Community Partnership, a delegation of female supervisors and students from High School 26 and Kafil Orphans Welfare Organization visited the Department of Chemistry at the College of Applied Sciences.

They were received by the Deputy Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Tahani bint Mohamed Bawazeer, and faculty members and students from the department at the Al-Zahir campus.

At the commencement of the visit, Dr. Tahani welcomed the visiting delegation and acquainted them with the chemistry labs. They were then shown an experiment that explained the role of forensic chemistry. The visit also included introductory stations prepared by students from the Department of Chemistry under the supervision of faculty members Dr. Aliaa Abdelaziz Alfi, Dr, Marwa Al-Ghalban, and Ms. Rajaa Naqeli. Light was shed on the role of chemistry in industry, cosmetics, medicine, health, and nutrition.

At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked Dr. Tahani Bawazeer for her warm welcome. At the end of the visit, Dr Tahani was honored by the Deanship of Student Affairs for Direction, Guidance, and Community Partnership.
