The Curricula and Teaching Methodology Department at the College of Education held a training course entitled "Mind Maps and the Development of Thinking". The course was presented by Dr. Sayed Shaaban Abdul-Aleem Younes, Associate Professor at the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methodology, in the framework of the implementation of the College's plan to provide seminars and scientific lectures. The course was attended by His Excellency Dr. Aly bin Muslih Al-Matrify, the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Mardi bin Gharmullah Al-Zahrani, Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Mohamed Al-Salmi, the College Vice-Dean for Programs and Development, Dr. Awad bin Saleh Al-Malki, the Head of the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methodology, the department academic staff and postgraduate students.

The course focused on the concept of mental maps, how people handle information, the role of mental maps in developing thinking, the educational benefits of the mental map, the characteristics of mental maps, and how to draw manual mental maps. The meeting was concluded by presenting the skills of drawing electronic mental maps.
