The Deanship of Scientific Research, in cooperation with the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, organized a training program that aim at qualifying and preparing the specialized academic cadres in the different fields of scientific research from the postgraduate students. This is in addition to encouraging them on keeping up with the rapid advancement of science and technology and on the outstanding scientific publishing. It also targets helping the students to choose the distinguished publishing sources in their specialties, respond to the criticism of the international arbitrators, and others of the modern requirements for publishing researches in scientific journals.
The program was inaugurated on Tuesday, Safar 14, 1440H, at 09:00 am. It started with a speech for the Dr. Saied El-Harethi, the Dean of the Postgraduate Studies, welcoming the students and highlighting the importance of this kind of training programs, which is being held by the Deanship for the second year in a row to help the students in the research skills, especially that the phase of choosing the topic and writing the research requires knowledge with the scientific research ethics and topics that are in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030, in addition to choosing the arbitrated scientific publishing sources.
The program commenced with a session given by Dr. Ghasan bin Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoud, the Vice Dean of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, under the theme of (Directing the Scientific Theses and Research Projects in Postgraduate Studies Towards Achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030). It included a presentation for the most important components of the vision, how to create coherence between the research objectives and choice of topics, and meeting the national needs and achieving the targeted performance indicators in the national vision. He then listened to statements form the students about their experiences and answered their inquires about topic choice and methodologies in the different specialties.
