Al-Qunfudah University College Marks the 88th National Day

 

The University College in Al-Qunfudah celebrated the 88th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, 16\1\1440 AH, at the University College Theater, under the patronage of Mr. Fida bin Al-Baqmi, Governor of Al-Qunfudah Province. The celebration was held in the presence of Dr. Yassin bin Abdullah Al-Zubeidi, dean of the college, and in honor of a number of leaders in the province; led by the Director of the Province Police, a number of employees of university colleges in the province and students.

 

The celebration kicked off with the royal anthem, and recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech that the dean of the University College in Al-Qunfudah had delivered. On behalf of all the male and female affiliates of the college, the dean congratulated the wise leadership and the nation on the 88th National Day. He also conveyed the greetings of Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafeel, UQU President, to the faculty members, students and to the honored guests on the occasion of the National Day, praising the UQU President’s interest and attention to the University College and its development and modernization of infrastructure and the establishment of buildings to serve students.

 

In the context, the dean emphasized on the importance of participating in this celebration, in which we renew our resolve, and recall what the founder, may Allah rest his soul- and his successors had presented us. He reviewed the rapid developmental developments in the Kingdom in all educational, social and economic aspects; which were achieved thanks to Allah and then to the wise leadership- may Allah save them.

 

On this occasion, the governor of Al-Qunfudah Province delivered a speech, in which he congratulated the leadership and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also mentioned the importance of this precious occasion and appreciated the contribution made by the province during the past few days, including the celebrations and events, to convey the joy of the National Day. He also spoke about the Kingdom's efforts to serve the Two Holy Mosques, along with their visitors, in addition to its impact on the lives of its citizens and their pride in their country and international standing. Then, a presentation about the 88th National Day of the Kingdom was displayed. It was followed by a poem that the poet Mohammed bin Idan Al-Issa recited. A group of students also made a number of performances in celebration of the happy occasion.

 

Dr. Mohamed Al-Hazemi, vice-dean of the college, presented the celebration, while the Vice-Deanship of the College for Community Service, led by Dr. Ali Al-Assa, was responsible for the supervision and organization of the celebration.
