The Education Minister issued a decision forming the general assembly of the School Sports Union. Such a union is meant for developing all what is related to the school sports. This goes with the Premiership’s decision to the effect that a new union paying attention to the school sports is to be established.   

The decision involved naming a group of experts and specialists in the sports field and school sports. The Umm Al-Qura University Physical Education Department is pleased to congratulate both Dr. Tawfiq Albaqri, head of the Physical Education Department; and Dr. Yuseif Alsubaiti specialized in the sports marketing and investment on naming them for the membership of the general assembly of the School Sports Union. Their membership extends for four years.    

Apart from the other educational institutions, naming two of the University academic staff members mirrors the level of the caliber which the University possesses to the point of gaining the trust of the officials to take part in building the society of this country.  

It is mentionable that the Physical Education Department is filled with competence and expertise in all the sports specialties and fields.
