In the presence of the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Ali bin Muslih Al-Matrafi, and in the presence of the Vice Dean of the College of Education for Development and Educational Programs, Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Jabbar Al-Sulami; the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Dr. Talal Aqeel Al-Khairi; and the Head of Special Education Departmen, Dr. Subhi bin Saeed Al-Harthy, the first session of the Department of Special Education was opened on 29 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1439AH. The session began with a a guidance message from the Dean of the College of Education on the occasion of the start of the academic year. It included the importance of developing and updating the programs of the department to keep abreast of developments and achieve the 2030 vision. He then inspected the readiness, programs, initiatives, cooperative agreements and community partnerships to serve the community.
The Dean of the College, as well as the Vice Deans, praised the efforts of the Department of Special Education, including both its girls and boys section. The efforts included developing a program for graduate studies diploma. The Dean also stressed the scientific leadership of the department and the importance of benefiting from its academic expertise to serve and support the community. He also extended his thanks to the administration of the University for its care and support to the programs and departments of the College.
