The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Information Technology held their first joint meeting on Tuesday morning Dhul-Qe'dah 4, 1439 H to discuss developing an e-system for updating and creating graduate studies programs and the relevant schedule. The system will be launched with the beginning of the next academic year 1440 H after the steps of updating and creating Postgraduate studies programs were approved by the University's Higher Advisory Committee.
At the commencement of the meeting, the Dean of Postgraduate Studies Dr. Saeed bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Harthi made an elaborate presentation about the forms designed by the his deanship and efforts exerted by the Deanship of Information Technology to turning them into automatic processes between the departments concerned with designing its programs and the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies which approving these programs according to the scientific standards, the requirements of the labor market and the institutional accreditation of the programs. He then praised the role of the Deanship of Information Technology in providing the technical services in the university.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Dean of IT for E-Transactions Dr. Atif Al-Hejaili and the Head of the Applications Department Eng. Ashraf Asfour from the Deanship of IT and the Vice Dean for Programs and Evaluation Dr. Thamir Al-Omairi and via the Closed TV circuit the Vice Dean of females section Dr. Maysoon Al-Binian and the Vice Dean for Development Dr. Somaya Haririm from the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of Postgraduate Studies praised the support attached to his deanship by the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail and the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi. He also extended his thanks to everyone and valued the efforts exerted by the Standing Scientific Committee for the Programs of the Postgraduate Studies and the Deanship's teamwork praying to Allah the Almighty to bestow success upon everyone.
