The President of UQU, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, has launched an online booking service through the University’s website on the World Wide Web. The service is a reflection of the attention he gives to listening to the observations and needs of faculty members, employees and students. The launching took place at the office of UQU’s President in Al-Abideyah, in the presence of UQU's Vice Presidents, alongside with the Deans of colleges and the relevant supporting deanships, in addition to UQU President’s advisors.
The Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Fahad Al-Dossari said that this service comes as part of the directives and aspirations of Dr. Bafail to automate all the services provided by the University to all its employees, which will enhance the quality of these services and contribute to serving the staff.
Dr. Atif Al-Hajili, the Dean of Information Technology for E-Transactions, explained that this service is aimed primarily at faculty members, employees, students and the auditors of UQU President. He pointed out that this system allows the user of the service to reserve the date proper for him from the available dates. He pointed out that the application is then reviewed and approved by the employees programming this service at the office of the President.
He emphasized that the system was programmed to receive appointments on Sunday of each week from faculty members and staff members, while it receives appointments on Wednesday from students and general auditors from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. He also pointed out that the page can be accessed through the University's website or through clicking here.
For his part, Dr. Bafail praised the support given by the wise leadership to the educational process and its administrative environment, highlighting the support of the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Eissa, for the programs and activities offered by the University in various fields. He stressed that the continuous development of information technology and the services offered by the University comes in accordance with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision towards electronic governance. He pointed out that e-services will be expanding according to the highest technical quality standards, adding that benefiting from the technological revolution seen by the world now will continue in order to serve the beneficiaries of the University’s services.
His also added that in order to invest the time of faculty members, staff members and students, a reservation service has been established in order to listen to their observations and aspirations and work towards achieving them in a concrete manner. This would allow developing the system of administrative, academic and research work to take UQU to higher ranks among international universities.
