In partnership with the English Language center at Umm Al-Qura University, Oxford University Press, represented by Oxford Teachers' Academy, held a training course titled " Teaching English for Specific Purposes".
The 18-hour course was held between May 8 and 10, 2018. Around 60 faculty members benefited from this course, in addition to the students. It included various interactive activities, modern methods and supportive materials in teaching the English language for special purposes.
The importance of this course given by Oxford University Press to the affiliates of the English Language Center could be summarized in the development; reviving the previous scientific experiences; supporting them with modern materials in the teaching methods; keeping pace with the spirit of the age; and achieving the vision.
Moreover, such trainings help the new teaching staff members to enrich their skills and talents and use them in the best way in the work place, in addition to overcome the negative habits that undermine the educational process.
