Al-Qunfudhah Engineering College Organizes New Course: Select the Idea for Your Entrepreneurial Project

The College of Engineering and the College of Computers in Al-Qunfudhah organized a training course entitled Select the Idea for Your Entrepreneurial Project,” in cooperation with the Institute of Entrepreneurship in Al-Qunfudhah. This was on Monday and Tuesday, Rajab 30 and Sha’baan 1, 1439 AH, in one of the halls at the College of Computers. On the first day, the course was attended by 30 participants from the students of the College of Engineering and the College of Computers. The first training workshop was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Alawi Bamahdi, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering; His Excellency Engineer Ibraheem Al Morayya, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering for Educational Affairs and Development and Head of the Department of Construction Engineering; and His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Abdoh Al-Marhabi, Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship in Al-Qunfudhah.  

The course was given by Mr. Mubarak Al-Rashdi. It contained several topics, including: project plan; planning of project’s marketing aspects; planning of funding and technical aspects; planning of financial aspects; executive steps to start the project.  

Some of the most significant objectives being achieved by the Institute of Entrepreneurship are disseminating the culture of freelance work among the members of society and building a positive attitude toward freelancing; developing a national program for entrepreneurship and promoting small and medium enterprises (SMEs); qualifying human cadres specialized in the area of entrepreneurship and promoting SMEs; enabling entrepreneurs and specialists to keep pace with recent developments in the area of entrepreneurship and freelance work.  

The Institute of Entrepreneurship offers its services in several areas, such as disseminating the culture of freelance work; training; consulting; counseling; facilitating access to funding; and facilitating access to licenses.
